Pro Tips for Printing in Digs:
-
Plan Your Layers:
- Before exporting, carefully review the annotation layers you want to include.
- If a builder commonly shares a document with a specific team, such as plumbing, dedicate a layer for that data to keep the document clean and focused.
- Once edits are finalized, export the file as a flattened, annotated document and re-upload it to Digs for team sharing.
-
Use the Base Layer Wisely:
- Limit the use of the unnamed Base Layer to data that is universally helpful to all teams and included in every annotated export.
- The Base Layer is ideal for overarching modifications, such as using the Erase tool to hide or remove data from the original document. Careful use of the Base Layer can simplify your workflow and ensure consistency across exports.
-
File Naming:
- Save exported files with descriptive names to easily track versions, especially when including annotations for specific purposes.
