Just an idea but for word and excel you may be able to use Google Docs. When you put an excel on Google Drive and want to edit it it opens in a web page and uses the google docs interface.

Just wanted to follow up on a previous email in regards to different file types in the folder system of Digs to see if it's possible to make the files in the folder system editable. Currently when you open them from digs they open up in a rasterized format. Files like .xlsx and .PDF's. We need to have a system in Digs to keep up with Client changes in selections.

Ability to edit text files
